These eight individuals, God rest their souls, are referred to as “The Stems”. Now a family tree has many, many branches and stems but these are the elders which we honor each year at the Gibbons-Walsh(e) Family Reunion, lately held in summers at Camp McDowell in Nauvoo, Alabama. These stems were all raised at least for a while in the home of James Booth Gibbons and Anne Genevive Walshe Gibbons in various parts of Alabama.
