Tuscaloosa Scrapbook by Matt Clinton (2 of 2)
Tuscaloosa Scrapbook by Matt Clinton 1 of 2
Matthew William Clinton was (among many other things) an historian of Tuscaloosa. These articles are from the column Tuscaloosa Scrapbook published in the Tuscaloosa News in the late 1960’s. Jimmie or Kathleen Gibbons kept a number of these clippings and they are presented here. Special thanks to David Gibbons for bringing these to my attention.
In addition to these articles, Matt Clinton wrote the book, Matt Clinton’s scrapbook One Hundred and fifty years in the life of Tuscaloosa and Northport.

A Cousin’s Birthday
Parents keep everything from the first baby! Here’s an invitation to Howard to come to his cousin Whitfield’s birthday. Dated Saturday, October 5th. The year that seems most likely (an October 5th landing on a Saturday) is 1946.
